YOUR RIGHT HAND UPHOLDS ME!

My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me. (Psalms 63:8 KJV)

Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (Ephesians 2:8 KJV)

But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. (Titus 3:4-8 KJV)

I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. In this verse, we are given a beautiful picture of David doing everything that he can, while he entrusts the Lord with all things.

God's right hand is an emblem of His might and His power. Listen as Moses praises God after He delivered His people with His mighty right hand of power!

We've been called and set apart for a purpose that the Lord planned before time began. He purchased and redeemed us with His mighty right hand through the sacrificial death of His Son for this purpose. He chose us to be His beloved. We are His people, the sheep of His pasture. We are the body of Christ. So with heartfelt gratitude for all He's done, we want to be careful to devote ourselves to the purpose for which we were saved and rest in His power to enable us. Read Titus 3:4-8.

So we cling to Him knowing that His mighty right hand upholds us. In the midst of our weakness, we hold fast to Him by faith, trusting in His power and strength. No matter what's going on around us or in us, we walk forward clinging to our Lord, believing that He is going to accomplish everything. It is in Him that we place ALL our faith, ALL our trust, and ALL our hope. He is mightily glorified in the process; His perfect plans are accomplished. May many see and fear and know that He is God (Psalm 40:1-5).
