Mom always taught her kids how to sing. She'd say,"If you kids are going to sing at church tonight you better hit that note or do not sing at all!"
Momma always had good correction in a godly way how to raise her children. She'd never discuss her problems with anyone around, but I would her praying for her children and trials at bedtime. "Lord, please save my children," and "Lord, You know what I have suffered and You will see me through," with the trembling voice of hope and earnestly praying unto God as she knew how.
When the Lord saved me back in 1997, I was 11 years old and always watched all people get into the church services.. I would set back and watch them shout and praise God under the anointing of the Holy Ghost. There would be a smile created on my face as I wanted a taste what they were feeling. As I grew older to realize the anointing of God and to hear His voice, I was considered blessed as I put into play what my mother taught her kids to do.. Sing that note if not, don't sing it all. Live right. Don't straddle the fence. Hot or cold, lukewarm He will spue you out of His mouth.
I believe Momma taught us right from the Word of God!
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. (Psalm 100:1 KJV)
And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. (Revelation 14:3 KJV)
For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. (Psalm 137:3 KJV)
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:14 KJV)
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. (Revelation 3:16 KJV)
