He is my Creater and Redeemer

My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: (Psalms 63:5 KJV)

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2 KJV)

Read Psalm 63:5

Your Lord delights in you. He loves you with an everlasting love. You are the apple of His eye, and He is looking forward to spending eternity with you. You have been created in His image, designed to reflect His glory and to enjoy Him forevermore. He promises to be with you wherever you are, to never leave you nor forsake you; there is no place that you can go that He is not there.

He had you in His mind and in His heart before time began. You are His child and you are precious in His sight. Imagine what He might have had in mind when He created you. I remember anticipating the births of each of our four children. I couldn't wait as I wondered what he or she would be like. Frequently, I would share with my husband the new names that I had thought of, as though somehow naming the baby would solve the mystery. Nine months seemed to stretch to forever as I awaited the arrival of this new family member. I wondered, would it be a boy or a girl, dark hair or light, blue eyes or green? Who is this new person forming inside of me?

After the arrival, others would join in with, "Does he have Grandpa's eyes?" or "Don't you think she looks just like Aunt Margaret!" It would be much longer before any of us would discover the type of personality this new little person would have, or what their favorite color would be, or what sport they would like. It would seem a lifetime before we could see who they would become.

But God didn't have to wait! In Christ, He knew you before you were born, and He has wonderful plans for you, plans to give you a future and a hope. That future is ensured because of His power and His grace. There is nothing you can do that can separate you from His love; in fact, there is nothing anyone can do to separate you from His love. He delights in you and desires that you would find all of your delight in Him. Meditate upon His delight in you today.

In the pattern of Romans 12:2, think on Psalm 63:5 and allow the Lord to use it to renew your mind and transform your heart.
