In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:1-5 KJV)
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. (John 1:9, 10 KJV)
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 1:14 KJV)
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; (Colossians 1:15-19 KJV)

Read John 1:1-5, 9-10, and 14.
Who was in the beginning with God? What do these verses say about Him? Make a mental list or write it in a journal.
Christ is preeminent. He is first, over all, above all, and in all. Read Colossians 1:15-19. Who are you in light of who Christ is? How can His power and His glory transform how you see things and how you live your life?
Read Colossians 1:9-12. Paul indicates in his prayer for the Colossians that, by God's grace, knowing these things would encourage and strengthen them in their walk with the Lord.
Give thanks to God and to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for we serve a great God and King above all kings! Let us make Paul's prayer our prayer!
What is one scripture from today that the Lord is using to renew your mind and transform your heart? Take this truth to heart and bring it to life throughout your day.
